Data and Enablement

Adoption is not the last phase. It is the whole programme.

Transformation budgets are routinely spent on building capability and then starved at exactly the point where people have to change how they work.

The typical transformation plan allocates the overwhelming majority of its effort to building the thing, and a fortnight of training at the end. The result is a capable platform, a launch announcement, and a slow return to the old spreadsheet.

Enablement runs alongside delivery

The people who will use a workflow should be involved while it is being shaped, not introduced to it once it is finished. This costs a little delivery velocity and saves the entire investment.

Reinforce well past launch

Schedule the follow-up sessions before go-live, measure usage at thirty, sixty and ninety days, and treat a drop-off as a design signal rather than a training failure.
